Pigmented Basal cell Carcinoma

Abstract

|
A sixty eight-year-old Korean woman had been affected pigmented basal cell carcinoma on right lower eyelid area of the skin which was measured 1.8cm by 1.6cm in diameter and appeared to be dark pigmented, raised above the skin about 3mm to 4mm high, crusted on center of the tumor, considerably indurated on edge of the lesion and easy to bleed, if the crust being removed. The patient has been working at the farm almost through her lifetime and the cause of the disease is presumed that of repeated irradiation of the sunlight for long period of time. Author discussed the cause of the disease incidence of types of the tumor by different races, various way of treatment and differential diagnosis of the disease, and reviewed the literatures of basal cell carcinoma.
